Everyone loves a little Octopus every now and then! People here love them so much that they are often eaten while they are still alive, cut up into moving pieces!! These guys don't have much of a chance........

Just another night in Beomgye station....one of the subway stops near our apartment!! :) You never know what you'll see next, maybe a dancing chicken??
The Fine New Faces of Badminton!
Badminton is huge in Korea!
Every time I walk through the park there are hoards of couples batting a birdie back and forth (that's a literal statement, no suggestive undertones intended...). So, in a high-minded effort to be culturally sensitive and maintain a strict exercise regimen, Laurie and dropped $15 bucks, bought a badminton set, and tried it out last night, and I must say...we are AWESOME!
We had record-tempting rallies that must have gone on for 30 seconds at a time! I mean Laurie would serve, I would return, then she would hit it back... shear athletic excellence! I'm just glad we picked it up while we're still in out prime. A new age is dawning in the sport, ladies and gents.
Stay tuned here for more edge-of-your-seat badminton reports soon!
